Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,
First, this weekend we honor our fathers on Father’s Day. Remember to thank your father for life and pray for him!
This past Friday, June 16, 2023, we celebrated the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a beautiful way of loving and consoling our good Lord Jesus. During this month of June, I encourage all of us to continue to grow in our love and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This week I include the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Also: would you be willing to offer this Litany each day for the remainder of this month? Be sure to include your intentions and petitions as part of this prayer. Let us also pray for our Holy Father, Pope Francis, Archbishop Hebda, Bishop Williams, Bishop Izen, all the priests and deacons in our Archdiocese, for the spiritual needs of all of our parishioners and all the people who live in our surrounding communities.
Thank you for your willingness to grow in this devotion, which is so greatly desired by Jesus and so richly blessed by Him!
Through the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Joseph, St. Michael, and St. Paul, may the Sacred Heart of our good Lord Jesus forgive us our sins and bless us with peace and joy!
