Hellos and Goodbys

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

This week we say goodbye to Fr. Altier. If you have not done so, please take some time to thank him for serving our parishes. Let us also keep him in our prayers as he transitions to his new assignment at the Church of St. Raphael in Crystal, Minnesota. This week we will also welcome Fr. Joseph Zabinski. Fr. Zabinski was ordained just a few weeks ago for our Archdiocese. We will have welcome receptions for him at the various parishes. Let us keep Fr. Zabinski in our prayers as he transitions into our parishes. During this month of June, I want to encourage all of us to continue to grow in our love and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

This week I include the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Would you be willing to offer this Litany each day for the remainder of this month? Be sure to include your intentions and petitions as part of this prayer. Let us also pray for intentions of our Holy Father, Pope Francis, Archbishop Hebda and the needs of all of our parishioners and all the people who live in our surrounding communities. Thank you for your willingness to grow in this devotion, which is so greatly desired by Jesus and so richly blessed by Him! Through the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Joseph, St. Michael and St. Paul, may the Sacred Heart of our good Lord Jesus forgive us our sins and bless us with peace and joy!
